Shirley Bleecher

CONGRATULATIONS!

To Mrs. Shirley Bleecher, on the occasion of 40 years

of service to the Patchogue-Medford School District

 and River Elementary School:

Please accept my sincere thanks for the many things you have done

for the children of the River Avenue community for the past four decades.

You have had the unique opportunity to watch generations of children

learn to read, become number wizards, evolve into young authors

and grow into responsible citizens.  This is assuredly a magnificent

achievement for you, one that few people can accomplish

in their careers. let alone a lifetime.

For you, helping shape the lives of young  people continues.

Long into retirement, you frequently visit our school

not only as a substitute teacher, but also as a volunteer,

neighbor and honored guest.  You bring with you smiles

and good cheer during each visit.  You have managed to embody

the true spirit of the River community

during your 40-year teaching career.

It is with great pleasure that I have the chance

to acknowledge this major milestone in your life,

along with the students, teachers, staff and administrators,

both past and present, at River Elementary School.

Thank you, Shirley, for your exemplary service to our community.

I wish you many more years of good health

and great  memories of family, friends and students

in the Patchogue-Medford School District.
